چکیده
Introduction. Meniscus displacement in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is known to provoke development of TMJ dysfunction, thereby impairing quality life. Managing disorders divided into three stages, first which intermediate determining prognosis and further tactics. The aim study evaluate effectiveness occlusal splint systems assess different stages dysfunction management. Materials methods. included 54 patients. Based on findings magnetic resonance imaging, patients were two groups: group I with dysfunctional changes (n=38), II involved joints concomitant osteoarthritic (n=16).

However, once degenerative changes start in the TMJ, this pathology can be crippling, leading to a variety of morphological and functional deformities. Primarily, TMJ disorders have a non-inflammator...

Introduction: The author (R. Wurgaft) has tried a unique way of splint therapy in the treatment of temporomandibular disorder. An orthopedic splint that only contact in the posterior occlusion, actually only the most distal contacts, is designed to distalize the mandible, and in turn to produce tissue remodeling of the temporomandibular joint.
